How does the PALOMAT® ½ Pallets work?

PALOMAT ½ Pallets automatically stack and destack empty ½-pallets. You can insert or remove pallets using a hand pallet truck, electric stacker, or full-size forklift truck, and all handling is done at floor level. It detects the ½-pallets via photo sensors, and then automatically stacks or destacks them one by one.

If you select destacking, the machine will insert a stack of no more than 15 ½-pallets, and then automatically destack each pallet one by one. If you select stacking, the ½-pallets will be inserted one by one, and then the PALOMAT will automatically stack them to a maximum of 15 pallets. The entire stack can then be removed.

The pallet magazine is only operated manually using the touch panel when changing between stacking and destacking, and the rest of the operation is fully automatic. Its available in both Greenline (AC operated) and Flexomatic (air + AC operated) versions.

It can handle all 4-way pallets made of wood, plastic, and metal, regardless of size. We can customize the PALOMAT ½ Pallets to match the exact size of the pallets you use.

For pallet magazine PALOMAT® ½ pallets we offer the following options:

Option - Maximum indicator for pallet magazine PALOMAT
Maximum indicator

A Sick-sensor for indicating when a pallet stack automatically should be destacked onto the floor.

If the user for examples wants the PALOMAT® to stop at 15 pallets, a maximum indicator can be mounted on the safety frame or on a pole. When the maximum indicator indicates the specified number of pallets, the stack is automatically put on the floor. The stack is then ready for pickup by for example a stacker.

The function can also be done manually using the touch panel.

Option - Signal tower incl. maximum indicator for pallet magazine PALOMAT®
Signal tower incl. maximum indicator

A signal tower with a three-colour LED, to assist the user in operating the machine.

The signal tower includes Sick sensors that detects when the pallet stack is full or empty. If the Palomat needs to stop e. g. at 15 pallets, the signal tower with maximum indicator can be mounted in the safety frame or on a bar. When the maximum indicator is actuated, e. g. at 15 pallets, the lamp lights blue and the stack is automatically put down on the floor.

Option - Truck protection for the pallet magazine PALOMAT
Truck protection (H:300 x W:310)

The truck protection is produced in 10 mm steel and can be offered as an extra protection of the front sensors.

The truck protection is two separate parts, which are mounted into the floor in front of the PALOMAT®. The solution is used especially by companies, which handle pallets by forklifts.

Option - Stopblocks for the pallet magazine PALOMAT®
Stopblocks

The stop blocks are a perfect option when the PALOMAT® needs to handle pallets where the runners at the bottom are crosswise to the hand pallet truck. When pulling out the hand pallet truck from the PALOMAT®, the two stop blocks hold the pallet in place, keeping it in the magazine.

The stop blocks are installed at the front of the PALOMAT®, one on each side next to the front sensors.

Option - Switch disconnector for the pallet magazine PALOMAT
Switch disconnector

The switch disconnector enables disconnection from the main supply right on the machine. The switch disconnector can be locked, e.g. when servicing the machine.

This is an advantage and a safety feature for maintenance of the PALOMAT® unit. The switch disconnector is positioned under the main supply.

Option - Shut Of Valve for PALOMAT® pallet magazine
Shut Of Valve

The shut off valve enables disconnection from the air supply right on the machine. The shut off valve can be locked, e.g. when servicing the machine.

This is an advantage and a safety feature for maintenance of the PALOMAT® unit. The shut of valve is installed directly on the filter regulator.

Prepared for information via SMS/E-mail
Prepared for information via SMS/E-mail

An interface sends an e-mail or SMS to the responsible for the PALOMAT®, e.g. when the magasin is empty or when there is an error with the PALOMAT®. It is installed with a mobile data sim-card (delivered by the customer) or a patchcabel, which is connected to the company’s network.
