PALOMAT® AMR is delivered with an interface 24VDC I/O signals for external equipment, making it possible to exchange signals between the PALOMAT® and mobile robot.

Not included:

To integrate the PALOMAT® AMR into the KUKA system,an interface kit from KUKA is required. With the kit mounted the KUKA system can communicate with the PALOMAT® and thereby fully automating the process of stacking or destacking empty pallets. A 3D camera is supplied as part of the interface kit to increase safety and ensure that full pallets are prevented to enter the PALOMAT® AMR.

As the PALOMAT® is equipped with various sensors, wires and pipes, cleaning must only be carried out with a weak alkaline cleaning agent. The PALOMAT® must not be flushed, but only wiped with a damp cloth.

The PALOMAT® AMR is delivered with a software – a complete program in the PLC – communicating with the interface. Thus being prepared to communicate with the KUKA mobile robot.

Possible options for your PALOMAT® AMR for KUKA

Signal tower incl. maximum indicator

A signal tower with a three-colour LED, to assist the user in operating the machine. The signal tower includes Sick sensors that detects when the pallet stack is full or empty. If the Palomat needs to stop e. g. at 15 pallets, the signal tower with maximum indicator can be mounted in the safety frame or on a bar. When the maximum indicator is actuated, e. g. at 15 pallets, the lamp lights blue and the stack is automatically put down on the floor.

Switch disconnector

The switch disconnector enables disconnection from the main supply right on the machine. The switch disconnector can be locked, e.g. when servicing the machine.

This is an advantage and a safety feature for maintenance of the PALOMAT® unit. The switch disconnector is positioned under the main supply.
